12/22/11

This picture was taken of me in my school's studio. I edited it so it looked like a triple exposure.

12/21/11

I took this picture of a leaf just before winter started. All of the leaves were starting to decay and the animals and insects were eating away at it. I like that this leaf is a piece of art within itself. It is unique and can never be replicated. I feel special because in a sense, I took one of the first and last pictures of it to cherish forever.

12/12/11

The latest assignment for Advanced digital photo was to take pictures of shadows. I decided to take pictures of Kristen's cat since he was sun bathing. The shadow of his head is very prominent. This is not one of my favorite pieces, but it meets the shadow criteria.

Jess asked me to take pictures of her for her modeling portfolio. I've been practicing with studio lighting lately and have been highly enjoying it. Her pictures turned out beautifully.

12/2/11

I attended a workshop at a local school a couple weeks ago. We worked with strobes and studio sets. I enjoyed working with the models and learning new ways to take pictures of people.

12/1/11

I shot this photo over the summer while on vacation in North Carolina. We stayed in a prime location full of rich homes and homeowners. I thought that this mushroom was out of place in such a rich and clean neighborhood. Over the summer I started taking more and more pictures of mushrooms. They seem to appear out of no where. I'd wake up in the morning and head out to the backyard to take pictures of new baby mushrooms. They're amazing, they fascinate me with the layers underneath the smooth top. Now that winter is around the corner, more and more mushrooms are dyeing. I can't wait until spring comes around so I can start shooting more mushrooms again :)

11/21/11

The eerie field across from my grandmother's house was shot over christmas break 2010 with my telephoto attachment. The lens makes the field seem dark and almost ghost-like. I like that I gave this a different take on landscape photography. Most landscapes are taken in a panaramic view or just straight forward.
